I always go to Kyoto as soon as I can after I arrive in Japan. Got off at Sanjo station and walked toward to Higashi mountain, to Nanzen temple. I love the Kamo river, sound of the city and the smell of the mountains.
We walked along the aquaduct into the woods around the temple. We saw the inside of the Konchiin, its tea room was very interesting. We headed back to Sanjo through Keage and Marutamachi, stopped at an antique store where I bought an old japanese bookshelf when I was a student.
