Omelet!

I saw a tasty omelet at the farmer's market, but they were the lunch for farmers. So, I suddenly had an urge to eat omelets, even I don't really like eggs. I rushed home with ingredients.

First I watched Julia Child and Jacques Pepin making omelets.
I was not so sure about Jamie Oliver's method...
Since I don't have any non stick pans, dealing with the old style pans is the biggest challenge. Heat, timing, the portion of the oil...everything has to work together.

I used truffle oil and mushrooms and panchetta. I also like to include olives.

The plate diameter is around 10".

kitchen stories

Norwegian movie which was inspired by a real study of efficiency in the kitchen.
The Swedish researcher observes a single Norwegian old man's activities in his kitchen.
There was not much conversation (they are prohibited to interact with each other and they are not particularly funny) nor any big event, but it is very interesting and I never got bored.
There are no women, no kids and no cutsey Scandinavian things, but it is a great honest and rough Scandinavian movie.

cups

My mom asked me to make those cups. For coffee, dipping sauce for soba and anything. There are absolutely no rules to use my pottery. W3.5" H2.5"

let the right one in

One of the best movies I have watched recently. It is a Swedish vampire story(but not a "Twilight" type vampire story). The dry humidity of the snow reflects the loneliness of the boy and the immortal. The 12 year-old boy shows an innocent smile but also cold adult expressions and the 200 year-old "girl"vampire has a mature character in a child's body. The title is great. Who is "right" for you?

blue bowl

I used the same technique as my pink bowl. I fired at a higher temperature and the result was a darker blue. I will fire everything at this cone from now on.

pink bowl

I fired this glaze at a higher temperature and I prefer the result. It is a little shinier and the brown edge is nice.
